From January to December, cook with La Española recipes in this compilation for 2022 and fall in love with the Mediterranean diet.

Are you tired of slipping back into the same old recipe routines, cooking only what is easy or familiar, and longing for a little more spice in your diet? In this article we are delighted to present a mighty twelve-month plan of mouthwatering meals for you to try: La Española's Essential Recipe Calendar 2022.

Each delicious dish has been inspired by our rich Spanish heritage, from the ingredients to local recipes, handed down through the ages and perfected over time. Because food, like many things, is best when shared and now it’s time to share them with you! 

So here we go, twelve special Spanish recipes for you to explore, each perfectly paired with every month in 2022!

If you’re starting the year with a fitness focus, we can help with that!! Make it easier to resist the pizza with a cheat-za!

Topped with creamy, caramelised butternut squash, red onion, roasted red pepper and salty manchego cheese, this Spanish pizza is a delicious vegetarian midweek meal to make for friends and family.

If you haven’t started already, make February the month you join us in Truffle Tuesdays. A perfect starting point would be our Spanish omelette…with a truffle twist! 

Tortilla de patatas is one of the most popular dishes in Spain, and in our recipe we’re adding a splash of La Española Extra Virgin Olive Oil Flavoured with White Truffle. Trust us, try it, you won’t regret it!

While March marks the end of winter there’s normally still a chill in the air, but imagine coming home to the smell of freshly fried croquetas in the air, waiting to warm you through! Sounds delicious right? 

Small, crunchy, and full of flavour, we find that a centre of spinach and melted cheese is the perfect reward after a long day.

Mushrooms and Garlic: Two incredibly versatile ingredients, common to most kitchens, coming together in beautiful harmony. We’ve chosen April for this dish but we think you’d agree, garlic mushrooms are the perfect companion all year round!

Welcome the sun with a perfect Summer tart. One of our newest recipes, and quickly becoming one of our faves, this delectable dish is a definite crowd pleaser at any garden party. 

Refreshingly light with seasonal summer vegetables, this is the ideal dish for anyone seeking a time-saving meal that’s easy to make, or if you’re cooking for someone who is normally hard to please! Also, Manchego is amazing, what else could you ask for?!

Things are heating up! Let us help you cool off with a delicious dose of desert! You might think that olive oil and orange make strange partners, but don’t knock it until you’ve tried it! The two flavours are wonderfully complementary in our stunning sorbet recipe. It’s a guaranteed hit when the weather’s hot!
